Radio Waumini 88.3 FM is a Catholic Radio at the service of the Gospel. It is an instrument of evangelization and promotion of all initiatives and activities of the Catholic Church in Kenya. At the same time Radio Waumini is for all Kenyans, because it wants to celebrate the rich diversity of contemporary Kenya, affirming all that is life-giving and striving to promote justice, peace, solidarity, tolerance, reconciliation and understanding amongst all people.
Achievements
- Radio Waumini transmits within a total radius of 150km of the area surrounding Nairobi thus giving us a milestone in our coverage. The frequency transmits as far as Murang’a, Thika, Kiambu, Machakos, Makueni, Kajiado and parts of Nyeri, Isinya and Oldonyo Sabuk. We shall soon be expanding to Nyahururu ,Rift Valley and part of western kenya. This will give a greater advantage to our clients who advertise through the site a much wider coverage.
- Radio Waumini have since opened an office in town which has enabled easy flow of information to the station every time, “Thanks to friends of Radio Waumini support”.
- The state-of-the-art studios with high quality recording facilities for Mass, songs from various choirs and artists, advertisements and radio programmes. The Radio has also managed to put transmitters in Tigoni (Limuru) to enable transmission of information, to other parts of the country.
- The station has also established a college of Communications within its premises for those aspiring to be journalists. The college opened its doors in 2006 and the first intake brought together 6 students from Kenya, Sudan and Liberia.
- The students have access to Radio Waumini state-of-the-art studios and facilities, and produce programs for broadcasting. The objectives of the college is to give on hands experience in radio.

Hi there? i love your selection of music.it suits people from denominations. (Catholics & protestants). my wish is that we may be able to listen to you from the internet especially those that work in the offices. consider that! we pray that God may enable you to broadcast allover the world.
you have great presenters, equipped with Gods word, and that is what we desire to hear on air, nothing outside the word of God.

I hoped to listen to waumini online but unfortunately it seems waumini is not online.
Do something about it.
